Missions - Dan & MeLinda Nelson, with Karina, Diana and Adrian
Dan and MeLinda both grew up on the mission field. Dan’s parents, Charles and Coral Nelson, were commissioned as missionaries by Grace Bible Chapel in 1968, when Dan was only two years old. They subsequently served as missionaries in Honduras and Costa Rica for a number of years. When Dan was 15, he felt the Lord calling him to full-time missionary service.
MeLinda was born in Guatemala where her parents served as missionaries. When she was 15, they then moved to Mexico. Her parents are still in Mexico serving as missionaries.
Dan and MeLinda began dating while at Moody Bible Institute and shortly after they were married, Dan began attending Denver Seminary.
For 15 years they worked in the Denver area, starting two churches among Spanish speaking Latinos. Grace Bible Chapel was actively involved with them in ministry during this time, sending youth teams every summer to assist with their Vacation Bible School.
Then in 2006, they moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, where they are continuing their church planting ministry. They are presently working in two different areas starting churches. They have three children: Diana, Karina, and Adrian. They partner with the Converge Worldwide (also known as the Baptist General Conference).
