Marv Lutterman
Marvin and Karen Lutterman have attended Grace Bible Chapel for 33 years.
Marv says, “I grew up attending a local denominational church. I learned about the Lord, but didn’t really give my life to Him. Romans 6:23a haunted me; I knew I had a tremendous debt to pay. During the time of our courtship, Karen challenged me to read parts of the New Testament and answered some questions I had. Verses that gave insight and changed my life were: Romans 6:14 – “for sin shall not have dominion over you; for you are not under the law but under grace.” and Romans 6:23b – “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
I realized Jesus was the answer to the debt I owed—He paid it for me. It was in the spring of 1975 that I put my faith in Jesus as my Savior.”
Marv worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 29 years and is currently retired. Marv and Karen have three daughters, Heather, Becky Swanson and Erin Kern, and seven grandchildren.
Marv said that Romans 6:14 – “For sins shall not have dominion over you; for you are not under the law, but under grace” is his favorite Bible verse.
Marv said, “God has richly blessed my life in so many ways: salvation, family, church, friends, work and health to name a few. I am grateful to Him for His grace to me—I desire very much to serve Him.”
