Chuck Scherer

Chuck and Sue Scherer have attended Grace Bible Chapel for nine years. They have three sons, Ben, Josh and Zach.

Chuck said, “At the age of 33, a Christian businessman asked me to be in a CBMC one-on-one discipleship Bible study. That man lead me to the Lord after I discovered I had just been a religious person most of my life; I had felt church was something you did only on Sundays.

Chuck said his life’s purpose statement is, “To live my life to the fullest, by honoring Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to my family, friends, those that I meet and those that I work with, so that they may see, seek and find Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

Chuck has been employed in the wood industry most of his life, starting at age 14. Currently he is Vice President of Marketing and Administration at Nelson Wood Shims.

Chuck’s favorite verses are: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

And Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

And Psalms 46:10 “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Chuck said he feels it is an honor and a privilege to be a servant leader with the people at Grace.
